A multifaceted PersonaliTree resides in Cedar Falls, Iowa

Our good buddy and fellow tree lover LeAnne noticed this interesting presence outside her window the other day. Actually he (she?) is there everyday. A Facebook frenzy produced a number of interesting naming suggestions, each of which seems oddly appropriate depending on how/when one looks at it (him? her?).  I was given the difficult job of choosing the best one. Perhaps it is best to say...It, Being Very Present, and a Watchful Invisigoth with the Oz-ian spirit of a Fighting Tree, exhibits moments of being both Perplexed and Puzzled over having been christened, simply, Arnold.

We're grateful for this nice review of HumaniTrees in Spirituality and Practice

Thanks to Frederic and Mary Ann Brussat, who wrote the following:

Richard St. Barbe Baker, the great tree-planting saint of England, used to spend at least ten minutes each day with his hand on the trunk of a tree. He said this recharged his energy by connecting him with the tree's powerful circuitry. We are tree people and that is why one of our favorite scenes in the television version of The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman is when this elderly woman explains why she talks to a tree: "When you talk to an old oak tree that's been here all those years, and knows more than you'll ever know, it is not craziness; it's just the nobility you respect."

We're delighted and honored that the folks at Arbor Day Farm Tree Adventure & Lied Lodge and Conference Center cited HumaniTrees as a readers pick and are bringing it to their gift shops!

Thank you Dyersville (IA) Beckman 'Blazer Trails'

There's nothing like being recognized by one's dear old high school alma mater. We were thrilled to see Joan and PersonaliTrees recognized in the Alumni Authors section of Dyersville Beckman's latest newsletter, Blazer Trails. The class of 1973 Beckman 'girlfriends' that Joan acknowledged in her second book HumaniTrees might be the most spirited bunch that ever walked the hallowed hallways. One thing's for sure...they know how to have fun! GO BLAZERS!
